The Play Series

The Space Needle, the Olympic Mountains, torrential rains; to the rest of the world, these things are quintessentially Seattle. To the city’s residents, however, there are few things as important as the city’s parks, and, of those, arguably the most highly regarded is Green Lake.

Green Lake Park is at the center of day-to-day life in the city. It is a venue for arts, exercise, and recreation, and is representative of the core of the city’s consciousness and identity. We’ve written these eight plays to capture what this park and this city mean to us.
